OCD Ireland provides separate support groups for sufferers of OCD, TTM and BDD. These groups currently take place online only. They are free to attend and are confidential. The groups are run by trained and experienced facilitators. Please contact us to join an upcoming group.
Who we are
OCD Ireland is a national organisation which provides support and information to people suffering with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and Trichotillomania (TTM).
The Irish Mental Health Coalition (IMHC) has accepted OCD Ireland as an endorsing organisation. Signing up to be an endorsing organisation means that:
- The IMHC can use the name of the organisation in a public manner, as an organisation supporting the mission and objectives of the Irish Mental Health Coalition.
- Endorsing organisations are invited to consider engaging in activities to support the IMHC advocacy work programme.
What we do

We operate support groups to sufferers of the three disorders. We also provide information to those seeking it.
OCD, TTM and BDD continue to be stigmatised disorders in Ireland. This organisation works to reduce this stigma and increase understanding through the media and regular talks to schools and universities.
Our support groups
We operate support groups for sufferers of OCD, BDD, and TTM. We also provide information to those seeking it. All groups are currently running online. We hope to restart our in-person meetings in the near future. We also operate a Family, Friends & Carers support group. All groups, with the exception of our Family, Friends and Carers group, are closed – meaning they are suitable for sufferers only.

OCD Ireland runs support groups for OCD (fortnightly on a Monday), TTM (2nd Wednesday of the month), BDD (last Tuesday of the month), Family/Friends/Carers group (first Tuesday of the month). These group are all online currently. They are free to attend and are confidential. The groups are run by trained and experienced facilitators.
